Sam Kerridge - Skylines
Experiencing the city through art
This spring, guests at PocketSquare Skyline Bar & Terrace can experience the latest Curated at Hyatt Place exhibition - ‘Skylines’ – a celebratory series of print & illustration of reconfigured cityscapes by Kerridge, all whilst taking in the London skyline views.
Running until May the 12th, Skylines features the surreal urban prints and illustrations of Sam Kerridge.
Sam Kerridge is a South London based illustrator, streetartist and printmaker. His work draws on the city and his urban surroundings, working architectural detail in the fabric of each piece of art. Kerridge begins by deconstructing the fundaments of architecture, reassembling them to create kaleidoscopic, geometric images, each one built with a graphic sensitivity.
His streetart places the designs alongside the architecture that inspired it and invites the viewer to experience the city in a new way.
Sam’s work challenges our perceptions of space and utilizes kaliedoscpic visions that trick the eye. His geometric structures are inspired by patterns formed in crystal rock formations, to invoke the ever changing urban environment of modern cities and how they imprint on our memories.
From Friday 24th March, visitors to the exhibition can stay for skyline cocktails including negroni styled cocktail The Skyyliner inspired by Sam Kerridge’s artwork.
